The hands of a servant

Written for my God-fearing grandmother, who is such an incredible example to me of who Christ is, and who is an amazing servant to everyone. I love you, Grandma!

THE HANDS OF A SERVANT

{Written by Rowan Dennis}

Ugly are they, the hands of a servant.

The weary fingers bear cuts, bruises, and scrapes.

Tired are they, the hands of a servant.

They toil at work and at play.

Willing are they, the hands of a servant.

They run to the aid of those in need.

Selfless are they, the hands of a servant.

A thought is never cast toward themselves, you see.

Happy are they, the hands of a servant.

They work with a smile and laughter.

Strong are they, the hands of a servant.

They are not weak and do not falter.

Gentle are they, the hands of a servant.

They work with tenderness and care.

Beautiful are they, the hands of a servant.

The world would differ, but God would not dare.
